Welcome to Strohmayer Fruit and Nut Co.

I started making gourmet hazelnuts mostly for special occasions and snacks. I decided one day
that I should share them, and so here I am! All of our products are made with the prunes and hazelnuts right from our farm.

Our family has been growing hazelnuts for many decades on our family farm located in the
foothills northwest of Forest Grove, Oregon. Our family has been farming the same land since
1905. We have grown a variety of crops, but the bulk of the farm is orchards.

My dad takes care of all the trees including the hazelnuts, plums, and cherries. We have several
varieties of plums, Italian, Moyer, and Brooks. Of the cherries we have Royal Anne, Corums and
Pie cherries. Most of the plums are dried in our original dryer right after harvest, as well as the
hazelnuts. Some of the prunes are used for juice. The sweet cherries, Royal Anne and Corum,
are harvest and are sold to be used to make maraschino cherries. The pie cherries are used for
juice.

The summers are always buzzing with activity from harvesting and delivering crops to fixing equipment. In the summer I take produce that was grown on the farm to local farmers markets along with the hazelnuts.

All of my products are processed and packaged in a certified kitchen.
